WATCH Javi Hernandez score dazzling Bicycle kick winner against East Bengal

BFC won their first match of the season through the dazzling Javi Hernandez goal

Bengaluru FC’s Javi Hernandez unleashed a lethal bicycle kick to help Bengaluru FC gain the lead against East Bengal FC at the Kanteerava. The Spaniard’s goal in the 72nd minute proved to be the winner for the Sunil Chhetri-led side to win the match. BFC won their first match of the season through the goal.

Mahesh Naorem scored the opening goal for East Bengal in the 15th minute to provide the away side with a lead. The home side retaliated quickly through their skipper. Sunil Chhetri was brought down into the box, resulting in a penalty to Bengaluru FC. Chhetri converted the spot kick with ease.

The game was tied at 1-1 in the 72nd minute. The away side was threatening BFC’s goal on quite a few occasions. The BFC side looked resilient and attacked the opposition box too. Such an attack was turned into a goal by Hernandez when he received a headed pass from Rohit Danu. The Spaniard took a touch to set himself up and then unleashed a left-footed bicycle kick from the centre of the box. The ball landed in the bottom left corner. Assisted by with a headed pass.

With the win, Bengaluru FC climbed to the eighth spot of Indian Super League table. The south Indian club has three points from three matches. While East Bengal remained on 5th with four points from three matches.
