Things continue to be rough for Cristiano Ronaldo. The ace Portuguese star missed a penalty that saw Al Nassr crashing out of the King’s Cup. And to make matters worse, the horror penalty flew to the stands, hitting a young fan and breaking his phone.

Ever since his controversial move away from Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to win a silverware with the Saudi giants. His latest outing came against Al Taawoun where his side was knocked out 1-0 in the round of 16 in the King’s Cup.

Cristiano Ronaldo had the perfect chance to bring his side level back with a late penalty. But the Portuguese superstar blasted his penalty high up into the stands.

Cristiano Ronaldo breaks a kid’s phone

Over the last 2 years, the five time Ballon d’Or winner has scored all of his previous 18 penalties. But on the fateful day when his side needed their talisman to step up, Ronaldo faltered. And to make matters worse, his penalty went on to hit a kid in the stands.

A young fan was positioned behind the goalpost, who was recording Ronaldo’s penalty kick from his mobile. But the missed penalty flew high to reach and hit the kid directly, knocking him and flipping his phone, breaking it in the process. After his missed penalty, Ronaldo faced massive criticism online.

The Portugal captain took to social media claiming every challenge from him gives him a chance to grow. “Every challenge is an opportunity to grow,” Ronaldo wrote on social media.
