Cristiano Ronaldo scored a wonder goal to lead Al Nassr to a 3-0 win over Al Okhdood at home in Saudi Pro League on Friday. While the 38-year-old scored a brace in the game, it was his second goal that grabbed all the eyeballs.
Al-Nassr were comfortably leading 2-0 when Ronaldo produced a breathtaking goal to stun the visiting side.
In the 80th minute, Al Okhdood goalkeeper came out of his post to clear a loose ball. However, the ball founds its way to the Al Nassr captain who was around 40 yards out.
With the goalkeeper out of his position, Ronaldo tried his luck and chipped the ball high in the air, which looped over the Al Okhdood’s defenders and went into the net.
Apart from Ronaldo, Sami Al-Najei was the other goal-scorer for the hosts. The win has put Al Nassr just one point behind league leader Al Hilal, who are on 35 points with a game in hand.
Ronaldo has been in red hot form for the Saudi club this season. The star striker has scored 29 goals in 29 along with 8 assists in Pro League matches since signing with the Saudi outfit.
The brace took his goal tally to 15 for this year’s campaign, overtaking his 14 league goals from last season.
