Vitor Roque’s agent confirms Barca joining of talented striker in January 2024

The La Liga winners signed him from Athletico Paranaense in the summer in a deal worth €35m. The 18-year-old striker was set to arrive in Spain next summer.

Vitor Roque’s agent admitted that the striker will make a comeback for Barcelona in January 2024. He is recovering from an ankle injury. It would be a good addition to Xavi’s attack for the ongoing season where they are battling hard with Real Madrid in La Liga.

Barcelona’s manager wants Vitor Roque to join in the second half of the season. His agent is confident on his joining at Camp Nou in January. The La Liga winners signed him from Athletico Paranaense in the summer in a deal worth €35m. The 18-year-old striker was set to arrive in Spain next summer. It happened because Barcelona could not register him immediately due to the Financial Fair Play regulations imposed by La Liga.

Barca boss Xavi has already said about the options he needs in his attack. He is also eyeing the January transfer window. The Catalan giants are finding ways to make room for the 18-year-old striker within the FFP budget. His agent Andre Cury has confirmed that both parties have agreed to fast-track the deal.

Vitor Roque agent said to RAC1, “Everything is ready for Vitor Roque to sign for Barcelona in January 2024. Everything is agreed upon with the club and with the player. Nobody has told me otherwise, so Vitor Roque will be in Barcelona’s sports project in January 2024.”

Roque is currently recovering from an ankle injury. He was stretchered off against Internacional after following a strong tackle from defender Nicolas Hernandez. He had ruptured a ligament in his right ankle. As per reports, he could be out for three months. Curey admits the player should be fit within a month. he added, “Roque recovers very well and will be ready in four weeks. He is a young, strong boy and we thank God everything has gone very well.”
