Because of an odd video that was uploaded to Napoli’s TikTok account, Victor Osimhen is thinking about taking legal action against them. The striker led Napoli to its first league triumph in more than 30 years last season. But he was the subject of a video on Tuesday when he was ridiculed by his own team.

Victor Osimhen could sue Napoli for TikTok video
Napoli put out a video on their TikTok channel. The focus of Napoli’s video was on his missed penalty during Sunday’s scoreless draw with Bologna. Victor Osimhen has 62 goals in 107 games for the Serie A team, and seldom misses penalties. But the video seemed to ridicule him for trying to get the penalty called.
Victor Osimhen is seen in the video pleading for a penalty with the caption “Gimme a penalty please”. Then, he fires the spot-kick wide of the goal post. Osimhen may be considering suing his club over the now-deleted video, according to his agent, Roberto Calenda.
His agent tweeted, ‘What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor Osimhen was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.’
His tweet continued, ‘A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news. We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor Osimhen.’
The video that was removed from Napoli’s TikTok account has not yet been acknowledged. Victor Osimhen and Rudi Garcia also appeared to be at odds. The striker was observed criticising his new boss after being replaced late in the game as they looked for a winner.
However, it was revealed following the game that Victor Osimhen had expressed regret to Garcia and his Napoli teammates for the manner in which he expressed his unhappiness in being removed off the field.
Piers Morgan ushers Osimhen to join Arsenal
Arsenal fan, Piers Morgan has issued a plea to Victor Osimhen. He has asked the striker to join Arsenal in the aftermath of the video being posted. He tweeted, ‘Don’t take this terrible treatment @victorosimhen9 – come to Arsenal instead.’

The video won’t help Napoli’s chances of keeping Osimhen, who has been linked with a number of clubs including Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain in recent times. Victor Osimhen won’t come cheaply however, with the striker believed to be valued by his club at around £150m, and his contract does not expire until the summer of 2025.
In the aftermath of this video, Osimhen will be assessing his options. Napoli will have to find a way to keep their star striker happy.
