1 GK: Eduard Mendy (Chelsea)

Mendy’s only competition comes in the form of Juventus’ 1st choice goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny. Although a good keeper, the Polish Goalie is not on Mendy’s level.

2 CB: Matthijs de Ligt (Juventus)

Juventus’s 3rd most expensive signing (after Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain) Matthijs de Ligt signed for The Old Lady for 85million euros, after having a shaky start to life in Turin the Dutchman looks to be back to his usual level which he showed at Ajax. The former Ajax captain is being linked with a move out of Turin to Chelsea, with Thomas Tuchel reportedly a big fan of the Dutch defender.

De Ligt sees off close competition from likes of Andreas Christensen and Cezar Azpilicueta and his Juventus’ vice-captain Leo Bonnuci.

3 CB: Thiago Silva (Chelsea)

After being let go by Paris-Saint-Germain due to his age, 37-year-old veteran defender has been world-class since singing for the London based outfit last summer. Playing at the base of a back-3, Silva is using all his experience and quality to be one of the very best in the Premier League.

Juventus Captain Giorgio Chiellini would have given the Brazilian captain tough competition, but unfortunately the Italian national team skipper is suffering with an Adductor issue.

4 CB: Antonio Rudiger (Chelsea)

Along with Jorginho, Rudiger is probably the most improved player under Thomas Tuchel. Despite being largely unused by former boss Frank Lampard, the German defender is fully trusted by the former PSG boss, the German defender has been given a new life under Thomas Tuchel. Rudiger plays on the left side of a Back 3, with license to venture forward at times.

Antonio Rudiger comfortably sees off competition from the likes of Luca Pellegrini, Alex Sandro and Malang Sarr to feature in this list.

5 RWB: Reece James (Chelsea): Chelsea’s joint-top scorer this season with 4 goals (along with Romelu Lukaku and Kai Havertz), Reece James is truly living upto his full potential, one of the best full-backs in Europe this season, James has become so good that he is currently a 1st team starter for England.

Reece James beats inform Juan Cuadrado to earn a spot in this 11, the Columbian who is a former Chelsea player is originally a right winger, but over the past years has been one of the best right-backs in Serie A.

6 CM: N’Golo Kante (Chelsea)

French international N’Golo Kante had a marvelous 2020/21 campaign, he was instrumental in Chelsea’s Champions League triumph, his performances against Madrid teams Real and Atletico earned plaudits from many. Despite being injured for most part of this season, Kante has shown that he is integral to Tuchel’s footballing philosophy.

Kante’s Chelsea team-mate and Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic would have given Kante serious competition, unfortunately the Croatian won’t be able to feature in this match as he is struggling with a hamstring injury.

7 CM: Jorginho (Chelsea)

 Last season’s UEFA player of the season, Chelsea’s midfield maestro Jorginho has been amazing ever since new boss Thomas Tuchel came in. After winning the European Championship with Italy this summer, Jorginho has become a serious contender for all the major individual award including the prestigious Ballon D’or.

Jorginho is chosen ahead of Juventus midfielders Adrien Rabiot and Manuel Locatelli, Chelsea players Saul and Loftus-Cheek.

8 LWB: Ben Chillwell (Chelsea)

England right-back Ben Chillwell, has been a revelation since coming into the Chelsea team. He has massively impacted Chelsea’s attacking play taking the team’s possession game to a whole new level.

He plays over the likes of Alex Sandro and Luca Pelligrini.

Chiesa showed his brilliant quality to the world in the European Championships as well, when he dominated every team he played against.

But since then everything has gone downhill for the Belgian who is suffering from constant injury. The Belgian is now back, and fully make his 1st appearance in 2 months.
