UEFA declared on Tuesday that the Euro 2028 will be staged in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. While Italy and Turkey will host the Euro 2032 competition.
The event will take place in June and July 2028. Thus, it has been precisely seven years since both England and Scotland hosted games during the re-arranged competition, which was staged around Europe.
The 2028 European Championship will be place over ten sites in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. London, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, Belfast, Cardiff, Glasgow, and Liverpool have all been named as potential match locations.
The Euro 2028 bid proposal includes six stadiums in England, headlined by Wembley Stadium, as well as Aston Villa, Manchester City, Newcastle, Tottenham, and Everton’s under-construction new home in Liverpool’s docks region. The national stadiums of Ireland, Scotland, and Wales will be utilised, as well as a new stadium proposed for Belfast’s now dilapidated Casement Park.
Italy and Turkey will co-host the next event, Euro 2032, according to Europe’s governing body. The two nations began as solo contenders but decided to team together and make a combined offer to host the competition. According to UEFA, the joint bidders proposed 20 prospective host stadiums, of which 10 will be picked, five from each nation, by October 2026.
