Indian Super League

The Indian Super League (ISL 2024-25) is the top men’s football league in India. Administered by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and its commercial partner, Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), the league currently comprises 13 clubs based in cities across India, including Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Jamshedpur. It includes 12 clubs based in these cities and 1 club promoted from the I-League.

Speaking of the upcoming 2024 season, we will see the first game between Mohun Bagan Super Giants and the ISL 2023-24 Cup champions, Mumbai City FC. Also, there is a new entry, Mohammedan Sporting Club, which is set to make its ISL debut as the latest addition to the league.

Mohammedan Sporting Club, also known as the Black Panthers, promoted to the ISL after winning the I-League title during the 2023-24 season by beating Shillong Lajong FC 2-1. This will be the first time we will witness three clubs from Kolkata: Mohammedan Sporting Club, Mohun Bagan Super Giants, and East Bengal.
