In fact, the Spurs are hoping to sign Maddison this week. They also seek to secure an arrangement that includes a £40 million up-front fee with additional add-ons.

The signing of Maddison by Tottenham would be a huge statement of intent. He has been a bright spot for Leicester City, assisting on 77 goals in 163 Premier League appearances. Spurs have undoubtedly lacked a really creative midfielder since Christian Eriksen’s departure.

Maddison would deal with the matter. And it appears that Postecoglou is eager to sign the former Coventry City player. Tottenham will be hoping to sign the midfielder quickly, since Leicester City have already begun pre-season training for their season in the Championship.
