Tottenham 5-1 Newcastle United Live: FIVE STAR performance from Spurs to move into 4th place
Tottenham were at their sensational best on Sunday as they beat Newcastle 5-1. Spurs would go level on points with Arsenal in fourth place with a win here and named a strong starting XI that included Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski.
And it was Kane who had the best chance early on, as he fired an effort wide from the edge of the penalty area. The north London side were enjoying most of the possession in the opening 30 minutes but struggled to create any meaningful chances in front of goal.

And they would pay for that lack of cutting edge on 38 minutes as Fabian Schär’s free kick squirmed under Hugo Lloris and into the back of the net. Immediately however, Spurs grabbed an equaliser as Ben Davies nodded in Son’s superb cross.
Into the second half and the hosts immediately took the lead as Matt Doherty ghosted in at the far post and headed in from close. Son then showed his class with a smart touch and finish soon after.
