Todd Boehly Chelsea: Chelsea have had a shockingly nightmarish season after the overhaul of their management and the arrival of their new owners. They are now sitting in the 12th position in the league table with only 5 matches left to play. The last time they finished their season below the 10th position was 27 years ago, back in season 1995-96. After such a disastrous season, new owner Todd Boehly has spoken up about the situation that the issues will be “figured out”. Follow Premier League LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.

Chelsea have already fired two managers this season. The team is now being managed by Frank Lampard for a temporary time and their search for a new manager is ongoing. There is a strong chance that they will bring over Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager. However, it’s still hard to know how their problems can be solved by the new manager. Mainly because none of their managers this season have been able to improve their situation.

It is extremely clear that they have a huge number of issues they need to resolve. At this stage, their owner Todd Boehly spoke to Sky Sports where he said, “The fans are demanding. You know they want to win and we get that we want to win so you know, I think our view though was that this is a long-term project and you know we’re committed to the long-term.”

He added, “We very much believe that we’re going to figure it out. We’ve got the best league in the world, we’ve got what I think is the top city in the world and we’ve got an unbelievable location in the top city in the world.”

After the Russia-Ukraine war, former Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich was sanctioned. His properties were being seized which caused Chelsea to cease their financial activities. This has caused the club a great deal of financial loss. This also ultimately led to the selling of the club which then was bought by Chelsea’s current owner Todd Boehly. One of his most significant actions since taking over has been his spending spree in the transfer window.

While it is a blessing to have an owner spend what’s needed to bring in the right players, it actually became a curse in this case. Chelsea now have a bloated squad of 31 players, full of talented players. This has been a headache for all the managers as at the end of the day, it affects the team selection. That in turn affects the morale and mood of the team. Managers have complained repeatedly about the matter and now Chelsea will have to sell many players.

A minor decline in form at the start of the season saw the sacking of Thomas Tuchel in September. Graham Potter was brought in next and he survived only 7 months. In these seven months, he managed 31 games. He won 12 matches, drew 8, and lost 11. After he was sacked in April, Frank Lampard was brought in as interim manager. Since his arrival, he has managed 6 matches and lost all 6. Other than this, Chelsea also have a £121.3 million loss from which they have to recover.
