THIERRY HENRY won’t join JULIAN NAGELSMANN as PSG assistant coach

After sacking Christopher Galtier, Ligue 1 giants are in search of a new manager.

Thierry Henry: Paris Saint-Germain have yet another big summer in front of them. It seems as though every summer window is a huge one for them. They are aiming to win the UEFA Champions League and this will be yet another transfer window where they will look to make moves, keeping in mind the biggest club competition. After sacking Christopher Galtier, they are in search of a new manager. PSG is looking to rope in former Bayern coach, Julian Nagelsmann. Reports say that he wanted Thierry Henry as his assistant coach. But it doesn’t look like it will happen, as per recent murmurs. Follow Paris-Saint Germain Transfers LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN

Should Julian Nagelsmann succeed Christophe Galtier as coach at Paris Saint-Germain, Thierry Henry will not be joining the club as his assistant. The Frenchman had been mentioned as a potential successor to Nagelsmann at the capital club, but L’Equipe claims that he does not suit the club’s requirements because they are seeking a Ligue 1 expert.

The absence of Henry does not exclude Nagelsmann from succeeding Christophe Galtier, though. The 35-year-old has not yet agreed to a contract with the Ligue 1 winners, but on Wednesday, his agent was in Paris to speak with the team. After Zinedine Zidane reportedly declined an offer, he is seen to be in prime position to take over as head coach.

Neymar Jr to FC Barcelona?

Although it is not yet clear which players Nagelsmann will have at his disposal, he is rumored to be thinking about how he wants his team to look if he joins PSG. Neymar, who has recently been linked with a move to return to Barcelona, is one star whose future is still up in the air.

However, coach Xavi has confirmed that Neymar is not on Barca’s list of targets, telling Jijantes, ‘I’m surprised… he’s not in our plan. I really like Ney as a friend, but we have different priorities.’

Zinedine Zidane rejects PSG head coach opportunity?

As the reigning French champions aim to replace Christophe Galtier after giving him the boot, Zinedine Zidane has once more turned down Paris Saint-Germain’s offer to be their Head Coach. As the Parisians continue their search for a new manager, Zidane once again declined SG’s offer to become their boss for the upcoming season.

Since Christophe Galtier, the current manager of PSG, has fallen short of expectations, rumours claim that club advisor Luis Ocampos has already informed the 56-year-old that he has been shown the exit door. A report on Le Parisien has suggested that Zidane was PSG’s first choice, similar to last year after the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino.

The club’s fortunes haven’t changed since the former Real Madrid manager turned down the offer the previous year, though. Zidane, who hasn’t been in charge of a club since his time at Madrid ended in 2021, apparently wants to lead the France national team and isn’t interested in taking the PSG position.

According to rumours, Zinedine Zidane’s team has denied that Paris Saint-Germain approached them about the management role. There has been no direct contact with Zidane according to his camp and PSG is now focusing on getting other targets, including Nagelsmann.
