‘The truth will come out’ Antony breaks silence & denies assault allegations

The Brazilian winger on Saturday appeared on Brazilian TV Primeiro Impacto and claimed the allegations made against him are untrue

Manchester United winger Antony has finally spoken out on allegations of assault leveled against him. Antony on Saturday spoke to Brazilian TV Primeiro Impacto and denied the accusations made against him.

The winger was dropped from the Brazil national team following former girlfriend Gabriela Cavalin’s accusation. Gabriela Cavallin recently came out and claimed that the United winger assaulted her on four occasions.

Since then, further allegations of similar conduct have been made by two other women, namely Risa de Freitas and Ingrid lana.However, the Brazilian winger on Saturday appeared on Brazilian TV Primeiro Impacto and claimed the allegations made against him are untrue.

On abuse allegations

“I do not support violence against women ever. It’s totally wrong, 100 per cent wrong. I have a mother, a sister, and I would never want this to happen to them,” Anthony said when asked about the allegations.

“Hitting a woman is something that doesn’t cross my mind. I know the truth will come out and it will show up. There are a lot of people butchering me, but the truth comes out.

“I never touched that girl. I’m never going to headbutt a person. I’m 100% sure I’ve never touched a woman. And I’ll come up with the evidence. People will see the truth. I’m sure I’ve never committed physical violence,” Antony added.

Cavallin also asserted that the abuse suffered by her resulted in the need for replacement of her breast implant.

However, Antony claimed, “Do I punch a woman in the chest? Never. The situation with her silicone was diagnosed in 2020 before I met her. She already had to change it.”

On possibility of Manchester United terminating his contract

Antony said he has not considered the possibility of getting axed from United. He said, “This is something that never occurred to me. I know the truth will come out.”

Antony also admitted he was hurt after being dropped from the national team.

“Brazil excluding me? It was hard. I felt really bad because it was for something that wasn’t true”.
