Jude Bellingham closer to winning Golden Boy Award
Alejandro Balde, a rival of Barcelona, and Jude Bellingham are competing for the prestigious award. Bellingham previously held 30% of the popular vote, according to Tribuna. That is, until an old comment by Balde surfaced – helping Bellingham to shake off his competition.
The full-back is claimed to have said, ‘Do I like Taylor Swift? No, I don’t like her music.’ Spotting the comment, one fan wrote on Twitter, ‘Hey Swifties! we can’t let this Balde guy win the golden boy award Vote for Jude Bellingham here.’
Since then, the tweet has gotten close to 7,000 retweets and 30,000 likes. Jude Bellingham is now reportedly at 89 percent of the vote, up from only 30%. Swift’s following would not be the only factor in the England star’s victory.
Bellingham lighting it up at Real Madrid
The midfielder, who earlier this summer moved to Real Madrid in a £115 million deal, has had an incredible year. With five goals in his first four games, Jude Bellingham has had an explosive start to life in the Spanish capital.
