Jahm Najafi was also present there as he holds a stake in the F1 racing team, McLaren. The rumors of a potential takeover sparked when the two met. Najafi’s investment is in Everton is supposed to be backed by Gulf companies, most likely by a company from Abu Dhabi. It will boost Everton’s hope to end their trophy drought and will make them a strong contender in the league.
The most recent example of is Newcastle United, who are now in the top 4 in the Premier League and were close to winning a trophy. Manchester United defeated Newcastle in the finals of the EFL Cup. However, the progress under the new Gulf owners is clearly visible and the team has been performing well. Similar things can be expected from Everton if Najafi invests in the club.
