Since the announcement of the Qataris’ interest in the Manchester United football club falling through, speculation has been rife regarding their potential acquisition of a Premier League club.
It has been reported that Sheikh Jassim made an offer of £8billion to acquire United. The offer has now been withdrawn after months of negotiations.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe, one of the competing bidders for the club, is expected to purchase a 25% share of the club for a price of approximately £1.4 billion.
Now Sheikh Jassim could turn his attention to Spurs, reports The Mirror.
It has been reported that Tottenham have been approached by Qatar Sports Investments. The QSI group sought to acquire a majority stake of the club.
The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) president, Nasser Al Khelaifi, is rumoured to have been involved in the negotiation of a potential United bid from Sheikh Jassim. It is anticipated that the two parties may reconvene to further discuss a potential Tottenham transfer.
