Sergio Ramos: Since Sergio Ramos decided to leave PSG at the end of last season, there have been a few rumours about his next destination. However, no solid reports from any clubs that they are approaching him. As per reports, the Liga MX club, Club America approached him, but he rejected their offer. Apparently, the former Real Madrid legend expects a bigger offer than what Club America offered him. Reportedly, he has another offer from Al Ittihad and could accept it to reunite with old teammate Karim Benzema.

Sergio Ramos left Real Madrid in 2021 and joined PSG. With his age catching up to him, the once prolific defender saw less playing time due to injuries. At the end of the 2022-23 session, he decided to leave PSG. Since then, there has been no solid news as to where he might go next. However, he has been linked with a few clubs including MLS, Liga MX, and Saudi Pro League clubs. The 37-year-old defender is yet to join any club.
However, as per reports, the player rejected a deal from the Liga MX club, Club America. If accepted, he would have become the most expensive signing in the history of the league. However, reportedly, Ramos expects at least a $8 million-per-year salary. As per reports, David Beckham’s Inter Miami also showed interest in him. However, it seems Ramos has denied the possibility of reuniting with his PSG teammate Lionel Messi as well. The ‘enemies to friends’ story is common in soccer.
However, it seems Ramos and Messi’s story ended with PSG. Other than MLS and Liga MX clubs, the former Real Madrid defender has been approached by Saudi Pro League clubs as well. It seems he is the closest to joining Al Ittihad where he will reunite with his former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema. However, more Saudi clubs are apparently approaching him. Considering Ramos expects to earn a certain amount, it is fair to say that Saudi clubs surely have the upper hand over any other club.

However, no confirmed news of his transfer has arrived yet. Hence, Ramos still remains a highly sought after free agent. As per reports, the top-flight Turkish club Galatasaray presented a 2-year deal where Ramos will earn a salary of €5.5 million per year. Galatasaray is still in the play-off round of the Champions League’s qualifying stage. Hence, if Ramos decides to join them, he will be able to play in Europe for 2 more years. However, considering he rejected their rivals Besiktas earlier this summer, it’s hard to say if he’ll move to Turkey.
In the matter of lucrative salaries, Ramos could still choose to join former teammate Messi at Inter Miami. Considering Miami’s shaky defense, they would be ecstatic if Ramos joined their ranks. However, there have been rumours that he already rejected David Beckham’s club. Ramos still has a few years of good football left in him, so staying in Europe would be his favourable decision. However, considering Saudi and MLS clubs’ lucrative deals, it’s tough to say where he might join.
