‘Room for more…’ WATCH Ronaldo’s new celebration in Al Nassr emphatic win

Out of Ronaldo’s fifty goals in 2023, 40 were netted for the Saudi Pro League side, with the remaining 10 coming while representing Portugal.

In a stunning display of skill and goal-scoring prowess, Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo marked his 50th goal of 2023 during Monday’s victory over Al-Shabab in the King Cup. The 38-year-old football icon took to Instagram after the match to share a message with his fans.

Ronaldo’s milestone goal unfolded in the 74th minute, where he seamlessly executed a one-two with Otavio, another Portugal international. The resulting low finish from 10 yards out added to the scoreline, making it 4-1 in favor of Al Nassr. It followed earlier goals by Seko Fofana, Sadio Mane, and Abdulrahman Ghareeb. Ronaldo’s contribution led to a commanding 5-2 win, earning him a standing ovation when he was substituted off in the 82nd minute.

Ronaldo takes Al Nassr to King’s Cup semis

The victory secured Al Nassr qualification for the King’s Cup semi-final for the second consecutive year, setting the stage for a redemption opportunity after last season’s semi-final defeat to Al-Wehda. Out of Ronaldo’s fifty goals in 2023, 40 were netted for the Saudi Pro League side, with the remaining 10 coming while representing Portugal.

This accomplishment adds another feather to Ronaldo’s illustrious cap, as he has now achieved the feat of scoring 50 or more goals in eight calendar years. Only his long-time rival Lionel Messi has surpassed this record, achieving the feat nine times in his career.

As Ronaldo basks in the glory of his latest milestone, fans can look forward to more action from the five-time Ballon d’Or winner before the year concludes. The next challenge awaits on Friday, December 22, when Al Nassr faces Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League—a fitting end to a remarkable year of football for Ronaldo and his admirers.
