Cristiano Ronaldo is planning to take legal action against his former club, Juventus for unpaid wages during his final season in Serie A. He is ready to sue the Bianconeri for the unpaid payments dating back to the Covid-19 pandemic. He didn’t get the complete amount from Juventus and it’s surprising that it’s been 3 years now.
As per the fresh reports of Gazzetta in Italy, the Al Nassr forward is ready to take legal action against the Serie A giants for over €20 million which he is yet to receive. The whole story will take us back to the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. The unpaid amount was allegedly deferred in 2020 when the world was battling through the Covid-19.
The first wave of Covid-19 hit European nations heavily and Italy was one of the affected countries. Juventus stopped all the payments but they assured that they would complete all the payments once Juventus had overcome the financial issues of the period. The time has gone now and the Portugal star is yet to receive his wages.
Cristiano Ronaldo signed a 4-year contract with Juventus in 2018 when he made a move from Real Madrid. The 38-year-old then moved to Man United in 2021 without completing his contract. During his second year with United, he made a sudden move to Al Nassr and he is playing there as the highest-paid player.
The point is Ronaldo comes with legal action but what about other teammates who played for Juventus in 2020? Well, Leandro Bonucci adds the drama in this story as the former Juve star is also considering legal action against the club for a separate matter. It would be interesting to know the response from Juventus.
