Richarlison was fairly silent in Brazil’s second game against Switzerland after scoring two stunning goals in the first game against Serbia. He did not play in the final match against Cameroon since Brazil had already advanced to the knockout round, and it is paying off handsomely.
Richarlison had earlier drawn a penalty, which Neymar scored to increase the score 2-0. This goal was perhaps the best of the bunch, and the nod to ‘jogo bonito’ delighted Brazilian fans.

Brazil led South Korea 4-0 at halftime in their World Cup last-16 encounter on Monday, thanks to goals from Vinicius Jr., Richarlison, and Lucas Paqueta, as well as a penalty from Neymar. Vinicius easily side-footed past a swarm of South Korean defenders after collecting Raphinha’s cross in the seventh minute to give the tournament favourites an early lead.
Soon after, French referee Clement Turpin pointed to the spot after Jung Woo-young’s clumsy kick felled Richarlison, and Neymar converted the penalty in the 13th minute. Brazil took a 3-0 lead in the 29th minute when Richarlison scored easily after receiving a defense-splitting pass from Thiago Silva, and Paqueta added a fourth seven minutes later when he arrived in the box just in time to volley home a Vinicius cross. Brazil was set to play Croatia in the quarter-finals on Friday.
