Real Madrid want Roberto de Zerbi if Carlo Ancelotti leaves

Real Madrid interested in roping in Brighton coach, Roberto De Zerbi when Carlo Ancelotti leaves

When Carlo Ancelotti departs the club, a source claims that Real Madrid is eager to hire Roberto de Zerbi. The manager of Brighton has really turned the team around and has caught the attention of many. Ancelotti appears destined to depart Madrid for a second time at the conclusion of the current campaign. This news has come out early that Don Carlo might be leaving at the end of the season. If that is true, then Real Madrid have a lot of time to pursue their choice of manager.

Roberto de Zerbi on Real Madrid’s wish-list

Real Madrid is now in first place in La Liga after losing to Barcelona last season. They also lost in the Champions League to Manchester City. Ancelotti is heading the push to reclaim both their league and European championships. Xabi Alonso, the manager of Bayer Leverkusen and a former Madrid midfielder, has been suggested as one of the possible targets.

But according to Cadena, Los Blancos will make every effort to persuade De Zerbi to take over at Real Madrid. They would want him to carry on the excellent job he started at the European giants while at Brighton. Graham Potter was replaced by De Zerbi at Brighton last season after he joined the team from Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine.

He won over the supporters right away with his appealing and upbeat brand of football. Roberto de Zerbi also guided the Seagulls to their first-ever European football action and a sixth-place league finish in the previous year. Despite a flurry of player personnel changes once again during the summer, Brighton is presently third in the Premier League and competing in the Europa League this season.

Brighton will be eager to do all in their power to retain the Italian in charge for as long as possible. This is despite the fact that they are accustomed to selling their top players when a decent offer for their services comes along.

De Zerbi’s release clause

Although a large sum for a manager, the release clause in the 44-year-old’s Brighton contract is said to be approximately £11.2 million. This would make it simpler for clubs like Real Madrid, who are great fans of his work, to grab him. Ancelotti was primed to leave the Los Blancos at the end of last season. Rumors suggested that Brazil were very keen to sign him on. But, after discussions with Florentino Perez, he decided to stay on.

With a contract until the summer of 2024, Carlo will mostly be looking for a new gig. When he departs the team, Ancelotti could become Brazil’s next manager. Despite leaving Real Madrid, Ancelotti has no plans to retire. On Wednesday, his team defeated Las Palmas by a score of 2-0.
