The first half was an even contest until Marco Verratti broke the deadlock for Paris Saint-Germain just before half-time when he fired home a rebound after Mauro Icardi’s effort had been blocked.
That strike was the Italian midfielder’s first Ligue 1 goal since May 2017. Just after the hour mark it was 2-0, when Sergio Ramos smashed home his first PSG goal following a goal-mouth scramble.

Mauro Icardi thought he’d added a fifth late on, but the goal was ruled out for handball.
