PSG had failed to beat Lorient in their previous two attempts but Mauricio Pochettino was taking no chances here by starting Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Neymar.

And it was the Brazilian superstar who opened the scoring after 12 minutes, finish off a fine team move. Mbappé was looking at his absolute best throughout the first half and doubled their lead on 28 minutes with a stunning near post finish.
