The £30 million central midfielder, who came off the bench when United defeated Burnley in the League Cup on Wednesday, is reportedly being pursued by French powerhouses PSG. In order to prevent losing any of the players for free at the end of the season and maintain their value, United extended the contracts of the other three players, including Fred, whose term was set to expire in the summer of 2023. However, PSG is not claimed to be deterred by that and is reportedly eager to sign a player they have long been interested in.

Since Christian Eriksen and compatriot Casemiro were brought in in August for a reported £70 million, Fred has only started four Premier League games this year. The 32-cap international is therefore probably amenable to moving to Paris and the possibility of playing more first-team games.
Tyrell Malacia took Shaw’s spot in the starting lineup at the beginning of the season, but Shaw has since regained it. Shaw started each of England’s five games at the World Cup. Dalot has also surpassed Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the right-back pecking order, and United is eager to hold onto him as well.
