Notably, Thomas Tuchel is very disappointed with his players, given their recent poor string of performances. Besides that, Tuchel also had an argument with left-back Marcos Alonso at the half-time break. Subsequently, Alonso was substituted but he has since come out to accept his faults and has said he wants to play in Chelsea’s next fixture against Leeds United.
Chelsea are currently placed third in the Premier League standings. They have won 19 of their 35 fixtures and have 67 points to their name. Tuchel’s team now needs four points from their last three matches to officially confirm their top-four place, while depending on other results, even one point could seal the deal.
