Premier League Liverpool beat Norwich: Liverpool win 3-0 in the opening fixture, Jota, Firmino, Salah get their names on the scoresheet: Back in the Premier League, the Canaries did not have a good start to the season. Liverpool had 3 different scorers as Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino all scored to gain the 3 points. They go on level with Chelsea and Man United in points. Liverpool will host Burnley in the next match as Jurgen Klopp hopes to continue this form. Mohamed Salah becomes the first player in the Premier League history to score in the opening match in the first 5 seasons.

Liverpool eased into the new Premier League season as goals by Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah earned them a 3-0 victory at promoted Norwich City on Saturday.

With defensive linchpin Virgil van Dijk back after nine months out with a serious knee injury, Liverpool enjoyed a relatively trouble-free evening at Carrow Road.

Norwich had their chances but once Jota gave Liverpool the lead in the 26th minute the visitors were in command.

Salah set up Firmino to make it 2-0 in the 65th minute and then sealed the points nine minutes later with a neat finish.

@11:15 PM: 56 min: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain tries to slide the ball through the center for Salah but his pass is intercepted.

@11:11 PM: 52 min: Giannoulis picks out Cantwell on the right flank but he gives the ball away with an attempted pass to Lees-Melou. Diogo Jota escapes upfield weaving his way past two defenders before being brought down by Cantwell a few yards outside the Norwich penalty area. It’s a yellow card for Cantwell and Liverpool has a free kick in a great position.

@11:08 PM: 49 min: Trent Alexander-Arnold picks out Mane with a pull-back from the touchline and the Senegalese striker shoots the first time. His effort is on target and Krul looked beaten but Aarons makes a crucial block. Hats off to Naby Keita, whose pass to find Trent Alexander-Arnold was sublime.

@11:05 PM: 47 min: Norwich wins a corner. Billy Gilmour floats the ball towards the far post, where it’s plucked from the sky by Liverpool’s goalkeeper Alisson.

Premier League Live: Norwich vs Liverpool LIVE: Match Preview

Norwich started off their preseason with a comfortable 1-3 win over King’s Lynn Town before registering back-to-back wins over Lincoln City and Huddersfield Town at the Lotus Training Centre. The Canaries saw their matches against Coventry City and Sheffield United get canceled but it did not dampen their preparations.

Daniel Farke’s side has continued to storm the pre-season by recording a massive 5-0 over Gillingham with their last match ending in a 3-0 loss against Newcastle. The Yellows will look to shrug off the defeat and replicate such strong performances against Liverpool on Saturday.

Liverpool on the other hand played two friendlies in August ahead of the upcoming Premier League and managed to remain undefeated in both the clashes. The Merseyside outfit played out a 1-1 draw against Spanish side Athletic Bilbao before registering a 3-1 win over Osasuna in their latest outing.

Takumi Minamino opened the scoring for the Reds in the 14th minute of the game before Roberto Firmino stole the show. Despite playing only 59 minutes against Osasuna, the Brazilan attacker found the back of the net twice as Anfeilde welcomed back fans for the friendly.
