Premier League LIVE: Man United stars want Solskjaer out – Manchester United stars are reportedly losing patience with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the Red Devils continue to struggle for form this season. A 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool has all but escalated questions regarding Solskjaer’s future at the club, with the Premier League giants seemingly behind in the Premier League title race and being saved by late Cristiano Ronaldo winners in the Champions League. The news comes in after Marcus Rashford said that he was “still embarrassed” at the manner of the defeat against Liverpool on Sunday.

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford said that he was still embarrassed by the defeat against Liverpool after he finally broke his silence on the game. The England international tweeted that he was lost for words at the shambolic display but vowed to the fans that the players and the team are working towards fixing it. Rashford’s comments come after team-mates including captain Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, David de Gea and Cristiano Ronaldo admitted the performance was unacceptable.

Solskjaer is on the verge of a sack and Manchester United are reportedly eyeing replacements for the former Red Devils striker, with insiders reporting that Carrington has gone flat. As per a SunSport report, Man United stars are losing faith in Solskjaer, and are uninspired by the training sessions run by himself and the coaching staff. Paul Pogba is yet to sign a new contract at the club, while new signings Donny van de Beek and Jadon Sancho have struggled to fit into Solskjaer’s plans.

Manchester United are without a win in four Premier League games, which has seen them drop to seventh in the table, eight points behind leaders Chelsea. They have already been knocked out of the Carabao Cup while barring a dramatic turnaround, a challenge for the title looks unlikely. It would mark five years since Man United last won a trophy and a change in guard is of paramount importance, despite Solskjaer enjoying legendary status at the club.

Manchester United have already started the process of sounding out a possible successor, with Zinedine Zidane, Antonio Conte, Brendan Rodgers and Erik Ten Hag on the shortlist. Zidane and Conte are currently unemployed having left Real Madrid and Inter Milan respectively, while Rodgers is in charge at Leicester and Ten Hag is at Ajax. Solskjaer will be on the touchline when Man United face Tottenham this weekend, which could potentially mean his final game after a two and a half year tenure at Old Trafford.
