This incident took place on Saturday at the Old Trafford stadium, when Manchester United took on Norwich City for a Premier League clash. The Red Devils got a corner around the hour mark and Cristiano Ronaldo jumped highest to head the ball, but it was safely gathered by the Canaries’ goalkeeper Tim Krul.

What was more significant from that corner is that Maguire also went for a jump but he ended up embarrassing himself as he tumbled to the ground, and while doing so, his trailing leg caught the face of Paul Pogba.

The French midfielder was visibly very angry at this since it left him both bleeding and jaded. Things were about to escalate as well, but Ronaldo stopped such an occurrence by playing the peacemaker between these two teams.
Notably, this is not the first occasion where Maguire has injured a fellow teammate. Previously, he had accidentally collided with Ronaldo himself from another such corner, and the Portuguese superstar ended up with a bleeding lip.
As for the match itself, Manchester United fought really hard to script a 2-1 win over the basement boys of the Premier League. Ronaldo scored a hat-trick for Ralf Rangnick’s team, whilst Kieran Dowell and Teemu Pukki were on target for the Canaries.
