Bukayo Saka New Contract
This deal will see him surpass Gabriel Jesus in the club’s salary hierarchy, with the Brazilian striker agreeing to a £250,000-per-week contract when he joined Arsenal from Manchester City for £45 million last summer.
The team’s manager, Mikel Arteta, and sporting director, Edu, were both eager to acknowledge Saka’s contributions by offering him a contract that reflects his status as the team’s most valuable player.
While he won’t earn as much as the £350,000-per-week salary that once made Mesut Ozil the club’s highest-paid player, negotiations between the parties were successful last month, and the final details regarding various bonus payments were resolved.
