Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, emphasised that his team was concentrated on itself and on defeating the Seagulls. They appeared to lose concentration, though, when they came upon Roberto De Zerbi’s flashy costume.

Arsenal’s fifth league loss of the year dropped them to 81 points with two games left, compared to City’s 85 points with three games left. Pep Guardiola’s team has to beat Chelsea next weekend to clinch City’s fifth title in six years. With four games left, Brighton has 58 points.
