Premier League 2021-22: Romelu Lukaku’s Chelsea wages, How much will the Belgian striker earn per week?- The London outfit has officially completed the signing of Inter Milan star Romelu Lukaku on Thursday. Chelsea is reportedly paying the Serie A outfit a whopping sum of £98million for the Belgium star. The 28-year-old attacker is set to boost Chelsea’s squad massively after their successful previous campaign which saw Thomas Tucehl’s side win the Champions League.

Following his arrival at Chelsea, the Belgian attacker has kick-started his career in London with a bang. Breaking records off the pitch, Rmelu Lukaku is said to be one of the highest earners at Chelsea after his move from Inter Milan. According to The Athletic, The Belgium international has surpassed N’Golo Kante and is now the highest earner in the west London outfit.

The 28-year-old is estimated to earn in the region of £325,000 and £450,00-per-week  after the image rights and bonuses are taken into account. The astronomical amount is way higher than Chelsea’s current highest earner N Golo Kante who pockets £290,000-per-week in wages.

The Belgian’s salary is said to be almost £160,000-per-week more than the French world cup winner. It would also put Lukaku in the top bracket of being amongst the highest earners in not just Tuchel’s squad but the whole Premier League.

Speaking with the media officials at Chelsea FC after his transfer, Lukaku was quoted saying, “I’m happy and blessed to be back at this wonderful club. It’s been a long journey for me. I came here as a kid who had a lot to learn, now I’m coming back with a lot of experience and more mature.

He added, “The relationship I have with this club means so much to me, as you know. I have supported Chelsea as a kid and now to be back and try to help them win more titles is an amazing feeling.”

Lukaku joins Chelsea again after nearly a decade since leaving the Stamford Bridge outfit for Everton in 2013. He had yet another spell in the Premier League with Manchester United before leaving the Red Devils for Inter Milan.

The Belgian heads into the upcoming season for the Blues after helping the Serie A outfit end their decade-long dream of winning the domestic title. Thoams Tuchel will be hopeful of seeing him replicate his performances and help his side mount a serious challenge for the Premier League. The 28-year-old is set to wear the No 18 shirt which is also the same number that he wore when he joined Chelsea from Anderlecht.
