Talisman Sunil Chhetri showed that he could have succeeded not only in football but also in cricket. In a video uploaded on Deepak Chahar’s Instagram account on Tuesday, the Indian football captain was seen confronting him at the nets at the NCA.

Deepak Chahar was seen appreciating the Chhetri like the way he played the ball. “Well played bhaiya @chetri_sunil11. Sportsman se koe bhi game khilva lo ,” Chahar wrote. It roughly translates to him lauding Chhetri’s ability to play all the games.
Chhetri is presently third on the list of active international goal scorers, after only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. The Bengaluru FC captain was dressed properly for cricket and defended a short ball from Chahar.

Sunil Chhetri has been recently named to lead the Indian men’s football Team in the Asian Games 2023. He will be joined by the likes of Sandesh Jhingan and Gurpreet Singh Sandhu. The skipper inspired guided his side to three consecutive trophies in 2023.
On the other hand, Deepak Chahar who recently won the IPL 2023 with Chennai Super Kings have fallen the order. The rumoured to be injured bowler has not been selected for any outing hence. He even missed out on the India vs WI and India vs Ireland series. Chahar seems to be continuing his recovery process at NCA in Bangalore and probably has found the most motivating partner in the India skipper.
