Summer Transfer – Out-of-contract XI:
1) Goalkeeper- Andre Onana
Andre Onana is set to leave Ajax next summer. Forced to sit out most of the past year due to a doping ban, Andre Onana will be leaving Ajax at the end of the season. But the Cameroon keeper remains highly-rated, having starred in Ajax’s run to the Champions League semi-finals in 2019.
In his final 20 Eredivisie matches before his ban, Onana conceded just 15 goals, keeping nine clean sheets.
With Inter Milan being rumored as a possible destination to replace the 37 year old veteran Samir Handanovic.
Inter have reached a verbal agreement with André Onana since last July. He’s ready to join as free agent in 2022. Contract NOT signed yet but at final stages. That’s why OL and Nice talks collapsed. 🔵🇨🇲 #Inter

2) Right Back- Cezar Azpilicueta
The 32-year-old Chelsea captain’s contract is set to expire next season. Azpilicueta, already a Chelsea legend has been a mainstay under Thomas Tuchel’s 5-man defense playing either as a right center back or a right wing back.
According to the Athletic, Azpilicueta is ‘in line’ to be offered a new 2-year contract. Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger are also out of contract next summer and with Kurt Zouma already out of the door, Chelsea will be keen to secure Azpilicueta’s new deal.
3) Right Center Back- Niklas Sule
Bayern Munich completed two crucial contract renewals in the past few weeks. Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka have committed their long-term futures to the club. The German Champions will now turn their attention to other players that are coming to an end to current deals.
Niklas Sule is probably the only player left in the squad that has less than one year left on the current deal. The German defender was linked with a move to Chelsea in the summer, but a transfer never materialized into an offer from the last season’s Champions League winners. Sule may have to wait for few more months to get clarity about his future.
According to Christian Falk of SportBild, Bayern has put contract talks with Sule on hold. The German club is likely to reassess the situation in the winter and hold discussions with the defender’s representatives.
4) Left Center Back- Antonio Rudiger
The 28-year-old has been heavily linked to the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris-Saint-Germain, who had prior interest in the player when Tuchel was manager. Clubs can talk to Rudiger and his representatives in January, six months before his deal expires with the Blues.
Since this speculation has been building across outlets, It has been suggested that the west London side would be open to a new deal with the player should the demands be reasonable and fair.
Fabrizio Romano stated: “Chelsea are still negotiating with Toni Rüdiger agents over new contract. Talks ongoing – there’s currently no agreement on salary but it’s not over as Rüdiger is so happy with Chelsea and Tuchel.”
5) Left Back- Marcelo
After 16 years at Real Madrid, Marcelo’s contract expires in June of 2022. The left back may be deemed surplus to requirement given the growing prominence of both Ferland Mendy and Miguel Guttierrez. Marcelo’s drop in form, re-occurring injuries, and his large salary would justify Real Madrid’s heart-breaking decision to let the Brazilian leave the club.

Waiting in the wings are Turkish club, Fenerbache, who would be interested in signing the fullback on a free transfer, according to Turkish media outlet Milliyet. Marcelo’s idol, and the other legendary Brazilian left back from Real Madrid, Roberto Carlos also joined Fenerbache at the end of his career when his Madrid contract expired. It would be a fitting end for Marcelo to continue to follow in the footsteps of his idol.
6) Defensive Midfielder- Marcelo Brozovic
Inter will meet with Marcelo Brozovic and his entourage about renewing his contract this week in the hopes of beginning the process of finding an agreement. This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the meeting would be the first one but more could be needed to wrap up the process. Brozovic’s current deal is set to expire at the end of June 2022, but the 28-year-old is a highly important midfielder at the Giuseppe Meazza and the club have no intention of seeing him leave on a free transfer next summer.
It is thought that the midfielder’s desire is also to stay at his current club, although an agreement on wages would also have to be found first.
7) Central Midfielder- Frank Kessie
After arriving at Milan on a loan with obligation to buy deal during the 2017 summer transfer window but his contract expires at the end of the season and a lot of the recent speculation has not offered much hope regarding the possibility of him extending his stay.
According to Italian reports, the chances that Franck Kessie will renew his contract with Milan expiring on June 30th are decreasing more and more as each day and week passes. The paper claims that a Donnarumma and Calhanoglu-style farewell is likely for the Ivorian midfielder, who is wanted by Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain.
8) Central midfielder- Paul Pogba
Pogba is indeed now into the final 12 months of his current contract at Old Trafford and he is yet to commit to an extension despite talks between the player and his agent, Mino Raiola, and United executives.
Out-of-contract XI: Best free agents in summer 2022 including Kylian Mbappe, Pogba, and more check out-
If Pogba doesn’t sign a new deal before the end of 2021, he will be free to talk to clubs from abroad from January 1 and sign a pre-contract agreement that would see him leave on a free transfer next summer. According to an article from French outlet L’Equipe, Pogba is no longer hiding his desire to extend his United contract, which will make him become one of the best-paid players in Premier League history, however Pogba has in the past has expressed his desire to leave Manchester for a new challenge, the rumored destinations have always been Real Madrid, Juventus and also Paris-Saint- Germain who were strongly linked to Pogba at the backend of last season.
9) Left Winger- Lorenzo Insigne
Napoli have seen contract talks stall with their captain Lorenzo Insigne, who has been one of the stars of Serie A in recent seasons. Insigne has scored two goals and notched three assists so far this campaign, with Napoli currently leading the way in the Italian top-flight.
10) Right winger- Paulo Dybala
The Argentine forward is finally set to commit his future to the Bianconeri after many months of speculation, Paulo Dybala is close to signing a new long-term contract at Juventus, Goal reported last week.
Speculation over Dybala’s future has been raging in recent months, with his current deal at the Allianz Stadium due to expire in June 2022.
As it stands, the Argentina international will be free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with any potential suitors from January, but he gave the clearest indication yet that he wants to stay at Juve after their 3-0 Champions League win at Malmo last week.
11) Center Forward- Kylian Mbappe
Mbappe, certainly not been shy about voicing his desire to line up at Madrid.
“I asked to leave,” he told RMC Sport in a recent interview, confirming he told PSG in July of his desire to change clubs in the transfer window. “Because from the moment when I did not want to extend my contract, I wanted the club to receive a transfer fee so they could bring in a quality replacement.
PSG, however, have maintained publicly that they will not consider letting their star forward go for any fee, and while Madrid are still widely expected to seal a move next summer the French club seem equally determined to convince Mbappe to extend his stay beyond 2021-22.
However, The France forward could yet be open to staying at Parc des Princes beyond the end of the current season, Kylian Mbappe’s mother insists that contract extension talks are well on track despite the interest he has received from Real Madrid.
Mbappé to L’Équipe: “When I say leave, I’m talking about Real Madrid. Real made an offer. I thought that my time at PSG was over. Leaving was the logical next step”. 🚨⚪️
“Other clubs? NO. I am attached to Paris, and if I had left this summer it would have only been for Real”. pic.twitter.com/rKIy9M6Nak
