Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann has brought an end to speculations. He won’t be managing Bayern Munich from next season. The German maestro has decided to extend his contract with the Germany Football Team till 2026. Currently he was on temporary basis, but now has ultimately signed the dotted line.
Nagelsmann’s contract was set to expire after the conclusion of Euro 2024. But the young manager has decided to continue managing at the National Level and not make a return to his former club.
Julian Nagelsmann won’t Manage Bayern Munich
“This is a decision made with the heart. It is a great honour to coach the national team and work with the best players in the country,” said Julian Nagelsmann after signing the contract extension.
“With successful, passionate performance we have the chance to carry an entire country with us. The enthusiasm of the fans has touched me a lot. We now want to play a successful Euros at home and after that, myself and my team are very much looking forward to the challenge of the World Cup,” he concluded.
Nagelsmann took over the reins of Die Mannschaft after Hansii Flick left. On the other hand, after a disappointing season with Bayern Munich, Thomas Tuchel won’t continue. As a result the Bavarians are on the hunt for a new manager. And Nagelsmann was a prime candidate on their shortlist. But now Bayern will have to turn their attention elsewhere after the manager decided to extend his contract with the National Team.
