India secures two berths in the AFC Champions League 2 2024-25, formerly known as the AFC Cup, as per the latest AFC Club Competitions Ranking. With a ranking of 17th in West Asia and 22.806 points, India clinches these spots. Saudi Arabia leads with 103.148 points, but India misses out on the AFC Champions League Elite due to their lower ranking.
No AFC Champions League Elite slot for India
Last year, India lost its sole spot due to underwhelming performances and a low coefficient rating. Mumbai City FC was the last Indian club to compete. AFC rebranded both tournaments as AFC Champions League Elite and AFC Champions League 2. However, India won’t have any slots in the AFC Champions League Elite or the AFC Challenge League, which makes a return after a decade.
