As Paris Saint-Germain prepares to absorb a significant loss on their initial €222m (£190m/$238m) investment in the striker back in 2017, Al-Hilal are prepared to pay roughly €45m (£38m/$48m) for Neymar. In an effort to remove Neymar off their books before the 2023–24 season.

The French champions are said to have already made offers to a number of European teams. The 31-year-old, who has struggled with his health in recent years and is presently out due to an ankle ligament injury, has not yet received any official offers from other clubs, according to PSG.

While all is going on, Al-Hilal is still searching the market for their big signing. After making Messi an offer worth more than €400 million annually, they were optimistic that he would accept. The Argentinian legend ultimately declined them in favour of a transfer to Inter Miami of Major League Soccer.

The 18-time Pro League winners are now searching for substitute players and have focused on Neymar. The aforementioned source claims that representatives of Al-Hilal have gone to Paris to talk about potentially signing the PSG superstar.

Al-Hilal is committed to learning whether Neymar is willing to leave Les Parisiens for the Saudi Arabian team. They are willing to provide him with a deal like to the one Ronaldo is receiving at Al-Nassr. The famous Portuguese figure reportedly makes €200 million a year at Mrsool Park.

Al-Hilal is also said to be prepared to pay PSG a transfer price of €45 million even if negotiations have not yet begun. Given that they paid €222 million to acquire the striker from Barcelona in 2017, the French powerhouses would demand a big payment for him.

Another major victory for the Saudi Pro League would result from Al-Hilal securing a deal for Neymar. Karim Benzema followed his former Real Madrid teammate in the Middle East earlier this month when he signed with league winners Al-Ittihad. Ronaldo was the first household name to go through the door at the beginning of the year.

It is conceivable that Neymar would rather remain in Europe. The Brazilian, though, has had trouble attracting attention on the continent for himself. He is still holding out hope that he will be selected for Brazil’s World Cup team in Canada, Mexico, and the United States in 2026.
