Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar has apologised publicly for cheating on his pregnant girlfriend Bruna Biancardi on social media. The Brazil international wrote about events in his private life in a long Instagram post that received seven million likes in a couple of hours. After making what he terms ‘mistakes’, the 31-year-old, who already has an 11-year-old son from a previous relationship, referred to Bruna as the ‘woman he dreams of’ weeks after they revealed her pregnancy.

“I made a mistake. I made a mistake with you. I dare say that I make mistakes every day, on and off the pitch. But I solve my mistakes in my personal life at home, in my intimacy with my family and my friends,” he said.
“Bru, I have already apologized for my mistakes, for the useless exposure, but I feel obliged to reaffirm it publicly. If a private matter has gone public, the apology should be made public.
“I can’t imagine myself without you. I don’t know if it will work between us, but TODAY you can be sure that I want to try. Our purpose will prevail, our love for our baby will prevail, our love for each other will strengthen us.”
Neymar, who has been in a number of extensive relationships, began dating Biancardi in April of last year, or at least this was the first time they made their relationship known to the public. The expecting couple made the announcement in April of this year. The child Neymar has with Biancardi will be his second child.
