Newcastle 1-1 Manchester United: Dreadful Manchester United draw against Relegation strugglers Newcastle United, Check Out Match Report- It would be fair to say that Ralf Rangnick’s Manchester United was completely outplayed by Eddie Howe’s 19th placed Newcastle United. The Toons had much better chances and most of the time took complete control of the midfield. Newcastle’s front players, especially Allan Saint Maximin and Joelinton gave Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire an extremely tough time. Follow InsideSport.IN for more updates.

Saint Maximin scored early in the game, he netted in a brilliant curling effort, which gave David De Gea no chance. United tried to stage a comeback after going behind early but were undone due to their sloppy passing and poor decision making. United midfield couldn’t feed the front four the final ball and the first half ended without any major attacking threat from the Red Devils.

In order to turn the game into United’s favor Rangnick made a host of changes, he brought on Sancho and Cavani at halftime, the changes went on pay dividends for Rangnick when Cavani scored Man United’s equalizer in the 71st minute and had the chance to clinch the winner. Although the game could have gone Newcastle’s way also, the Toons were denied in the 88th minute first by the right-post and then by David De Gea who produced one of the saves of the season to earn his team a point.
