New ticketing system failure causes delay in Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest game

The delay in Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest happened due to the new digital ticketing system going down at the turnstiles.

Arsenal and Nottingham Forest started their Premier League season today. The season opener of Mikel Arteta’s side was set to be played on time at Emirates but it faced a 30 minutes delay in the start.

Arsenal was supposed to host Nottingham Forest at Emirates on standard UK time at 12:30 PM but it started at 1 PM due to new ticket system failure.

The new digital ticketing system went down at the turnstiles. A big number of supporters were standing outside the Emirates and they were waiting to come inside to watch the game. Reports claimed that there were up to 35,000 fans outside the ground.
