Netherlands forced to change travel plans, cancel press conference ahead of Euro 2024 semi-final

Dutch coach Koeman will be hoping that his team's preparations for their first European Championship semi-final appearance since 2004 are not affected in any way by such unforeseen delays.

Ahead of their crucial Euro 2024 semi-final encounter against England, the Netherlands team were forced to rearrange their travel plans and cancel their scheduled press conference due to a blockage of the train lines.

The Dutch team was scheduled to take a train from their tournament training base in Wolfsburg to Dortmund, the site of their round-of-four match at Signal Iduna Park. Later on Tuesday night, head coach Ronald Koeman was scheduled to give a pre-game press conference along with defender Nathan Ake.

Netherlands face travel issues

Nevertheless, a blockage on the route resulted in the cancellation of their pre-planned journey. Instead of the short trip via the train, Netherlands flew out of Wolfsburg and landed in Dortmund. They also had to cancel the scheduled press conference, which may be held over zoom call instead.
