Neeraj Chopra and Sunil Chhetri are part of the Indian Sports Hall of Fame. The star javelin thrower created history at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after becoming the first Indian to win a gold medal in athletics. The Indian football team captain is one of the most successful international footballers and has been representing India for the last 19 years.
Earlier today, the two Indian sports legends met each other in a heartwarming get-together. Both sportsmen are currently on a break, with Chhetri fresh off a poor run at the AFC Asian Cup 2023 while Neeraj is preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The star athletes met earlier today as Sunil Chhetri introduced his son to the Olympian.
This isn’t the first meeting of the legends, as Neeraj has met Chhetri before at a football game and even exchanged jerseys with each other.
After meeting his Neeraj, Sunil Chhetri took to Instagram, posting the image of the star javelin thrower with him and his son, and wrote, “Just a father and son taking a bit of inspiration from the absolute best in the world. Aapke saath samay bitaana bahut achchha raha.”
