Albania’s Nedim Bajrami scored the fastest goal in the history of the UEFA Euro Cup as he found the net within 22 seconds during the Italy vs Albania Euro 2024 game. The record was previously held by Dmitri Kirichenko.
Nedim Bajrami scores fastest goal in UEFA Euros
Italy made a defensive error, as Nedim Bajrami pounced on the ball inside the penalty area. He struck his foot at it, and the ball flew beyond Donnarumma. Nedim Bajrami therefore made history by scoring the quickest goal in the UEFA European Championship.
Dmitri Kirichenko formerly held this record. He only played one UEFA European Championship games, but he made it count with a quickfire goal against Greece in Euro 2004. His goal for Russia against the eventual tournament champions came only 65 seconds into the game, prodding past Greek goalkeeper Antonios Nikopolidis.
