AFC Champions League 2023-24 Draw Highlights: Mumbai City FC, Neymar’s Al Hilal in Group D

AFC Champions League 2023-24 draw Highlights: The AFC Champions League 2023-24 group stage draw has concluded. Mumbai City FC will face Neymar’s Al Hilal in AFC Champions League group stage match. Both teams were drawn in Group D in AFC Champions League 2023-24 draw. Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr is placed in Group E.

West Zone AFC Champion League groups

Group A – Pakhator, AL Fayha, Ahal FC, Al Ain FC

Group B – Al Sadd, FC Nassaf, Al Faisaly, Sharjah FC

Group C- Al Ittihad, Sepahan SC, Air Force Club, AGMK FC

Group D – Al Hilal, FC Nassaji, Mumbai City FC, Navbahor

Group E – Persepolis, AL Duhail, FC Istiklol, Al Nassr

East Zone AFC Champion League groups

Group F – Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC, Bangkok United, Lion City Sailors FC, Kitchee

Group G – Yokohama F. Marinos, Shandong Taishan, Kaya FC-Iloilo, Incheon United

Group H – Buriham United, Ventforet Kofu, Melbourne City FC, Zheijiang FC

Group I – Ulsan Hyundai FC, Kawasaki Frontale, Johor Darul Ta’zim, BG Pathum United

Group J – Wuhan Three Towers, Pohang Steelers, Hanoi FC, Urawa Red Diamonds

All 40 qualified teams will be sorted into ten four-person groups. Teams from the West Zone will be assigned to Groups A–E, while those from the East Zone will be assigned to Groups F–J.

No Mumbai City FC vs Al Nassr in AFC Champions League 2023-24 Draw

Fans were left disappointed after Al-Nassr FC and Mumbai City FC were not drawn in same group. Al-Nassr were placed in Pot 4 of the West Zone, with previous UAE champions Al Ain FC. Meanwhile, Mumbai City FC was placed on Pot 3. However, Mumbai City were drawn in Group D, while Ronaldo’s Al Nassr were placed in Group E of the AFC Champions League.

This means that Indian fans might see the likes of Neymar and Mitrovic and Malcom playing in India.

Des Buckingham’s team, the defending ISL Shield champions, qualified for the major continental competition with a 3-1 victory over Jamshedpur FC. They had already won the Shield in a qualifying in May.
