Khabib retired more than two years ago, yet his influence and impact continue. Erling Haaland, the top scorer in the Premier League, and teammate Jack Grealish recently shared a story on Instagram in honor of the UFC Hall of Famer. Khabib reposted the story to express his gratitude for the Manchester City stars’ thoughtful homage.

Khabib Nurmagomedov held the record for the longest reign as UFC Lightweight Champion. His well-known gesture imitated by Haaland and Grealish implied that “it is all insignificant in the face of God.” This famous gesture is a result of his conviction in his faith. He gestures to himself, demonstrating his insignificance, and declares that God is everything while pointing to heaven.
Khabib Nurmagomedov is a big fan of Real Madrid
Outside of the Octagon, the Russian fighter, who retired with an undefeated professional record in mixed martial arts, enjoys football. He frequently appears at football stadiums all over the world.
Khabib has said that football will always be his “first love,” despite his professional success as an MMA fighter. In an interview, he stated: “Numerous football clubs have made me offers. But since football shape differs slightly from MMA shape, I need to get a little bit more into football shape.”
“But if certain clubs make me an offer and get my interest, I’ll take it because I’ve wanted to do this since I was young. I enjoy playing football. Since I was little, I have been a football fan. My very first love is this.”
Khabib revealed his love for the La Liga team Real Madrid while speaking with Match TV. The fighter from Dagestan continued, “Spartak are fantastic, but that’s domestic level. Real Madrid is the team of my dreams. The first game I can recall seeing through to the end was the 1998 Champions League final between Real Madrid and Juventus. I recall that despite Mijatovic’s offside goal, we still prevailed.”
