Initially, it was reported that Raiola had succumbed to illness but he has debunked all such rumours as he remains in intensive care. Meanwhile, his doctor has said “I’m outraged by the phone calls from pseudo-journalists speculating on the life of a man who is fighting to survive.”
Aged 54, Raiola has many renowned football superstars in his clientele. French midfielder Paul Pogba, Norwegian wonderkid Erling Haaland and Sweden’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic were all managed by Raiola.
Raiola started his career as a footballer but switched to the management and administrative side while he was only 18 years old. His claim to fame was back in 1996, when he orchestrated the transfer of Czech Republic star Pavel Nedved from Sparta Prague to Lazio.

Raiola has massive clientele and is venerated as the biggest agent in football. Erling Haaland, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Marco Veratti, Lorenzo Insigne, Matthijs de Ligt and Gianluigi Donnarumma are all clients of Raoila.
As for some of the major deals that he had orchestrated, Raiola was responsible for bringing Ibrahimovic from Inter Milan to Barcelona, Paul Pogba from Juventus to Real Madrid, Romelu Lukaku from Everton to Manchester United and Erling Haaland from Red Bull Salzburg to Borussia Dortmund.
