Messi vs Ronaldo again: Just when we thought the debate between Messi and Ronaldo was done, the universe throws us another curveball. After winning the World Cup in December with Argentina, most of the world agreed that Messi had given the final blow to Ronaldo, in the GOAT debate. But, that might not be the case, as, if rumors are to be believed, these two stalwarts could be back to exchanging blows in the same League again. Follow all Football LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN

If rumors are to be believed, then Leo Messi’s father, Jorge Messi is in Riyadh right now. Apparently, he is in talks with Al-Hilal to check the possibility of his son joining them on a staggering £245m-a-year contract. The World Cup winner runs out of contract at the end of this season and will be a free agent.
Even though reports suggest that PSG would love to keep him for an extra year, nothing of that sort has been signed yet. His displays at the World Cup suggest that the 7-time Ballon d’Or winner can continue at the highest level for some more time. It is also reported that Messi might be open to moving to Saudi Arabia, even though he has assured PSG that he will sign the one-year extension.

Nasser Al-Attiyah, a relative of the Emir of Qatar, has added fuel to the fire by saying that Messi will move to Saudi Arabia after his stint at PSG is done. ‘Messi, his next club after his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, will be Saudi Arabia.’

If this contract is said to be true, then Messi would earn more than Ronaldo does. This would also spark the rivalry that we have seen regularly in Spain between 2009 to 2018. Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal are said to be rivals and this pairing would elevate this fixture to a whole another level. With the way Messi is playing, it will be shocking to see him leave Europe for Saudi Arabia, but only time will tell if he takes this leap this summer.
