Lionel Messi trained normally with the Argentina squad on Tuesday but questions surrounding his injury and fitness remain. Images from the training highlighters a swollen right ankle, causing concern in the minds of the supporters. As per Marca, the PSG superstar has an ankle inflammation.

It is believed to be normal and is not related to any bone or ligament injury, Messi’s inner circle suggests. The report states that the swelling is a result of frozen gel, a part of cryotherapy treatment to avoid use of anti-inflammatory drugs. Messi himself has shown no signs of discomfort and took full part in the session, and finished the training session well.
