Marcus Rashford Contract: Premier League: Manchester United is planning on making big moves in the coming transfer window. The Red Devils have been playing well under the mentorship of Erik ten Hag and have looked like a different side altogether. They have finally looked like a menacing side and will be looking to get better as the new season inches closer. As they look to offer David de Gea’s reduce pay in new contract, the club is thinking of spending the saved money on reinforcements. According to reports, Marcus Rashford will reap the rewards of the same. The attacker will get a huge raise, which will be paid from de Gea’s wage cut. The highest-paid player for United is keeper David de Gea, who makes £375,000 a week. However, the 32-year-old, whose contract expires this summer, will reduce his salary after accepting a new £200,000 offer.

With just over a year left on his contract, star striker Marcus Rashford, 25, is up for new terms that would tie him to Manchester United longer and raise his weekly salary from £200,000 to £300,000.

Kane, the all-time leading scorer for Tottenham and England, will see a £100,000 wage rise from United.

It was reported last month that if Spurs fail to qualify for the Champions League, Red Devils, who have not won the championship since 2013, are certain of acquiring Kane this summer. A top-four finish seems less realistic after their 6-1 loss to Newcastle at St. James’ Park on Sunday.

Prior to their home match against Erik ten Hag’s FA Cup finalists on Thursday, Spurs, and United are separated by six points. If the Red Devils win, the £100 million asking price for Kane will be significantly lowered as the striker approaches the last 12 months of his contract.

Spurs will take a financial blow if they place outside the top four. With a game still to play, United is presently fourth on goal differential behind Newcastle. They are in serious need of a player to relieve Rashford’s workload.
