Marco Asensio Set To Join PSG for Free After Leaving Real Madrid

Marco Asensio will be joining Paris Saint Germain for free this summer. The player has agreed to the personal terms and is all set to join the French club.

Marco Asensio Transfer: The season has just come to an end, and already we have multiple transfer updates coming in. According to the latest reports, Marco Asensio will be joining Paris Saint Germain. The club and player recently came to an agreement for the terms and now only the final process are remaining. The reports of Asensio joining PSG came just a day after, his exit from Real Madrid was confirmed. He will be leaving the Spanish capital for free this summer after spending 9 years at the club.

Asensio will be signing a year-year contract with PSG, which will keep him at the club till 2027. According to Fabrizio Romano, PSG’s football advisor Luis Campos has played a part in the transfer.

Asensio joined Real Madrid in 2014 as an 18-year-old. He then went on to win 3 Champions League trophies, 3 La Liga trophies, and 1 Copa dey Ray. Further now, after spending years at his dream club, the Spaniard will be leaving the club for free. His contract expired this summer, making him a free agent. Asensio is the third player to leave Real Madrid as of now after Eden Hazard and Karim Benzema.

He featured in 50 games in all competitions this season scoring in 12 of them. The 27-year-old was well known for his left foot at Santiago Bernabeu where he has multiple;e goals from distance.

PSG will soon announce the signing and are waiting for some formalities. The player will also be bidding farewell to the fans and club and is expected to unveil next week in Paris.

The French team also has a similar situation as Asensio’s former team Real Madrid. Players like Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos have confirmed their departure. Whereas some names like Neymar and Renato Sanches also might leave the club.

They are looking to make multiple signings this summer and have big names on their list. Bernardo Silva, Victor Osimhen, Adrien Rabiot, Min-Jae Kim, and Ansu Fati are some of the names the French club is targeting this season.
