Manchester United vs Liverpool- Mohamed Salah hat-trick hero: The hype around the match was high but Manchester United fell flat on their face at Old Trafford as Liverpool thrashed Cristiano Ronaldo & Co 5-0. Mohamed Salah led the way with a sensational hat-trick while Naby Keita and Diogo Jota scored the other two.
The Reds travelled to Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon hoping to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2021-22 campaign. Despite the massive win, Liverpool stayed second behind Chelsea with 21 points from 9 games. United dropped to 7th with the loss.
Manchester United vs Liverpool: The win marks just the second time Liverpool have scored five at Old Trafford, following a 5-2 success way back in 1936, and moves Jürgen Klopp’s unbeaten side up to second in the table.

Liverpool didn’t take long to open the scoring with Naby Keita’s right-footed shot beating David de Gea in the goal to put the visitors 1-0 lead in the 5th minute. Following the goal, Liverpool dominated proceedings with Firmino coming close to double lead twice but he failed.

But in the 13th minute, Liverpool finally doubled the lead with Diogo Jota putting his name on the scoresheet. Trent Alexander-Arnold’s perfect pass to Jota inside the United box was converted by the Portugues to make it 2-0.
Then on, it was the Egyptian Pharaoh show with Mohamed Salah dominating the game with a hat-trick. It all started in the 38th minute when Salah received a pass from Naby Keita at the center of the box and he had no trouble smashing it in.
Manchester United vs Liverpool: With just seconds to go for half-time, Salah made it 4-0 with a left-footed shot and then completed his hat-trick in the 50th minute after a fast counter-attack. Salah calmly collected Jordan Henderson’s through ball and his left-footed shot was too hot to handle by De Gea.
For United, even though they had four attempts, Liverpool defence stood firm. Even Cristiano Ronaldo could not make an impact.
